This
learning unit will outline the common causes of cardiac related emergencies.
Angina, heart attacks and cardiac arrest will be covered at length. You will be
taught on how to recognize the signs, symptoms, precautions and the aims of of
cardiac related emergencies including its cardinal event of cardiac arrest.
Performing CPR for adults, children and infants along with the use of an
automated external defibrillator (AED) across this age group will also be
demonstrated in this learning unit.
