The 5-second rule mentioned in the video is a debunked rule that says that if you drop your food or cutlery on the floor, you have a 5-second window to pick up before it is being contaminated. Not only that this rule has been scientifically debunked, but even if it is, it cannot be applied at all cost, for surgical instruments!
