LectureVid 4.1: Strategies to Minimize Cognitive Errors Part 1

Numerous strategies have been proposed to tackle cognitive errors. These strategies can be broadly categorized into two groups: (1) system-related interventions, and (2) cognitive interventions. System-related interventions refer to interventions to address organizational vulnerabilities toward diagnostic errors (e.g. inadequate communication), while cognitive interventions refer to interventions to specifically address cognitive shortcomings among healthcare workers. This lecture gives an overview of these strategies.
